The Silver Lady

The Boat

The Silver Lady is a 72’ motor yacht built by Carter Machine Works Limited and designed by naval architect William Garden.  She is equipped for adventure and outfitted for your comfort.  With a beam of 18’ the boat has ample space to stretch your legs and move about while underway.  Opportunities for taking in the view are plenty, with windows all around the salon and galley, a seating area in the wheelhouse, a covered aft deck for dining, and a fully covered fishing deck. While we strive to provide a distraction free environment where guests can fully immerse themselves in the Alaskan experience, we understand that remaining connected is sometimes necessary and so WiFi (via StarLink) is available to our guests while aboard.

Staterooms & Heads

Below deck, the Silver Lady features four staterooms, three of which are typically designated for guests, with one reserved for crew. Guest accommodations include the Master Suite with a queen bed and private head, the VIP Suite with a full bed, and the Bunkroom with two cozy, ship-style twin bunks; the VIP Suite and Bunkroom share a bath. For parties of three couples, the fourth stateroom is the V-berth and may be made available, offering additional flexibility. In total, the vessel has two full heads with showers and one-half bath. No matter which stateroom you choose, each bed is appointed with luxury linens, warm duvets, extra pillows, and throw blankets.

Common Spaces

The Silver Lady has comfortable spaces to enjoy your morning and evenings and everything in between.  The galley features a 4 burner gas range, subway tile, granite counters, and full bar seating.  The salon is home to very comfortable leather furnishings including a full sized sofa, loveseat, and oversized chair.  The wheelhouse is also available to guests, with a generously sized settee for taking in the view.  The aft deck has a custom made yellow and red cedar dining set for favorable evenings where guests can enjoy a meal or drink on deck.

Dining

In Town

The first and final nights are usually spent in the marina, giving guests the option to dine in town or enjoy a beautifully prepared meal aboard by our chef, Ben. For those dining ashore, we’re happy to help arrange reservations with advance notice, including at longtime favorites such as Ludvig’s Bistro, celebrated for its Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and intimate atmosphere.

Onboard

With a background in the culinary arts, Jeren brings a thoughtful, experienced perspective to the dining program aboard the Silver Lady. Working closely with our onboard chef, Ben, she helps shape custom menus that reflect Southeast Alaska’s seasonal abundance while accommodating a wide range of tastes, dietary preferences, and allergies. Together, they focus on fresh local seafood and wild-foraged ingredients—such as salmon, halibut, spot prawns, and Dungeness crab—while ensuring every meal aboard feels both nourishing and memorable. When requesting a booking, please let us know of any dietary considerations so we can plan accordingly.

Culture

Honoring Indigenous cultures of the Pacific Northwest is important to us and we have incorporated pieces of culture throughout the boat.

  • The throw blanket in the Master Suite is the Connections wool blanket designed by Snoqualmie Tribal members McKenna Sweet Dorman and Jaime Martin.

  • The throw blanket in the VIP Suite is the Rose Hip Warrior cotton blanket designed by Gail White Eagle of the Muckleshoot and Chehalis Tribes.

  • The salon features the Granite Mountain Blanket designed by Thundervoice Eagle in partnership with Sackcloth & Ashes.

  • A sea otter pillow, made by Jeren’s mom with the skin of a sea otter that Jeren harvested herself.  Of note for non-Alaskans or non-hunters - being Alaska Native allows Jeren and her family the opportunity to hunt traditionally harvested mammals like sea otters.  This is done in accordance and honor of culture and tradition that has existed among the Native people of Alaska since time immemorial.
